We are one of about 2,500 local groups affiliated with Indivisible.org, a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism and promote democracy in the United States.

There are numerous Indivisible groups spread throughout Vermont. Queen City Indivisible's activities are focused on Burlington, Chittenden County, and on the Vermont legislature and government.

Who We Are

We  defend democracy and resist autocracy in our country and  build community connections through events and actions.

We're a year and a half old, and have over 1700 members.

We’ve organized marches and protests, community events, led legislative advocacy, speaker events, and held informational meetings for our members — all focused specifically on our mission of defending our democracy and building community.

We lead our events with a spirit of joy, love, and community. We're committed to non-violence in all of our activities.

We collaborate with statewide Indivisible groups, ACLU-VT, VPIRG, Third Act, Democracy Alliance, Migrant Justice, and others.

How We Are Organized

A steering committee guides QCVI's  overall mission and activities.  Specific committees composed of members focus on organizing specific events , protests, legislative advocacy, community building, and other issues.
